One of our readers, Ms. Aiyra Baig, had emailed us in June 2017, sharing her notes for ICSE Class 10 English Literature. Aiyra is currently a student of Class 10 and will be giving her ICSE Board Exams next month in February 2019. Her notes are rare in the sense that they focus on the mythological references made in Shakespeare’s English drama, Merchant of Venice.
Here’s her accompanying message:
Hey! You are doing an amazing job. I’m myself a class X ICSE student and I have compiled these notes with great pain with the help of my mother. I realized that a complete list of the mythological references wasn’t available online properly. I would be glad if you published it online so that others may be benefited too.
Thank you, Aiyra and Dr. Ulfat Baig (Aiyra’s mother), for taking the pain to compile these notes! We’re sure that after going through your notes, current and future students of ICSE will find it easier to understand Shakespeare’s mythological allusions without wasting precious time searching for them all over the place!
