ICSE Students: Your Story #1

We are delighted to have received our first story from an ex-ICSE student, Tanya from Surat. We are sharing her story for you to read in the form of the first post for the Your Story series. Hope to receive many more such recounts from our readers of your experience as a tenth grade student of ICSE!

Here’s what Tanya has to say…

Hey there everyone!
Ever since I had joined an ICSE school, I had heard enough of people saying that ICSE board is hard, tough, blah, blah… I was so extremely fearful of ICSE board that I had literally sworn that I would soon change my school as well as board. But, my mother didn’t let me change my school.
And, I could not be more thankful!
As I came in 9th standard in ICSE board, I knew there was no use of looking back. I started bracing up for our 9th exams, and in no time, 9th was over and I had got 65 percent. I wasn’t really happy with it. But, then 10th started.
After a few days, while searching for some good stuff to read for ICSE preparation, I stumbled upon this blog. And, oh God! I was praising God!
All the notes, tips and tricks, and materials helped me a lot.
Also, I had noticed that ICSE board gave you the opportunity to give yourself a higher command over the English language.
Funnily, I hadn’t joined any coaching, yet I managed to score above 87%!
Countless sleepless nights, lots of tea, and support from peers, teachers and parents really helped me!
Needless to say, I am happy that I chose to give my ICSE board exam.
And most important:
THANK YOU ICSE HELPLINE FOR HELPING ME!!! 🙂

Tanya, we just wanted to say that we are extremely proud of you! 😀

Thank you so much for sharing your journey with us, all the way from 9th grade and a 65% to the end of 10th with an 87%! Hats off to your mother for sticking with her decision and encouraging you to push yourself. Look how well that turned out! You proved that

When the going gets tough, the tough get going.

We are also humbled and truly grateful that this blog played a role in helping you in your journey through 10th grade. Your words and appreciation mean a lot!

Although we know that we cannot always live up to our readers’ expectations, we hope to continue influencing and helping our readers and fellow students in the best way possible.

Thank you, Tanya. We wish you the best of luck for your future. Stay connected. 🙂
